Artur Gasparyan

1st of June in 2013 Mr. Artur Gasparyan has been assigned the position of General Director of the Company. He has been a Director of Air Traffic Services since September, 2011.
Artur Gasparyan was born in Yerevan. In 1984 he graduated from the Academy of Civil Aviation in Leningrad obtaining the qualification of an engineer of Air Traffic Control. On August 1st of the same year he started to work at “Zvartnots” international airport as an air traffic controller, in 1991 as a senior controller and in 1998 carried out the duties of a supervisor.
In 1999 he was assigned the position of a chief of ATS Procedures Development and Implementation Department of the Company, in 2002 –a chief of ATC Centre, in 2006 –a chief of “Yerevan” ATS service, in 2010 he was again assigned the position of a chief of ATC Centre. From September, 2011 to April, 2013, as Company's ATS Director, Mr. Artur Gasparyan’s scope of responsibilities, apart from the air traffic service, included the issues concerning the organization of air space, military and civil cooperation, air flow management in Yerevan Flight Information Region, as well as the ATC safety provision.
He is actively committed to the operations directed to the implementation of ATS new procedures and principles, the training of ATS specialists in compliance with the ICAO standards.
Since 1999 he has many times participated in the ICAO and EUROCONTROL sessions and he is a permanent member of different international working groups.
In 2006 he was awarded RA Prime Minister's letter of appreciation for his diligent and many years of work in the domain of RA Civil Aviation.
He is married and has two children.
